Mark Shone

Auctioneer & Emcee

Mark Shone is a Seattle-based fundraising auctioneer and emcee who brings a rare mix of warmth, authenticity, and trusted gravitas to the stage. He has been part of the Northup Fundraising team since 2012, helping organizations inspire generosity and exceed their goals.

With more than 30 years of experience as an educational innovator, teacher, instructor, and coach, Mark is deeply skilled at connecting with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Since 2005, he has also been a company member and instructor with Unexpected Productions, Seattle’s premier improv theater, where he has honed his quick wit and ability to engage audiences in the moment.

Mark has auctioneered successful events for organizations including Harbor School, National Nordic Museum, Eastside Community School, Friends of Madison Park, Lafayette Elementary School, and Woodinville Montessori School.

When he’s not on stage, Mark can be found traveling to Scotland and Iceland, cheering at rugby matches, or working on his summer home on Whidbey Island.​
